Reality vs. Fantasy
Reading a good
book can be an escape from normal life. Just to explore the world that someone
has created can be relaxing, exciting, and a stress reliever. And depending on
fiction or non-fiction you can learn about the people of the past and their
stories through dark or lighter times. Writers intentions for romance novels
are to leave readers like you with happiness and hope. Diving in a romance
novel allows the imagination run wild with characters from their looks, voice
and even their walk. This puts your mind at ease as the main character and
become more involved with the actual story. And a romance story isn’t a good
one without either a good cliffhanger or a happy ending.
When living
through the eyes of a fictional character, you learn they can make mistakes and
solve problems surrounding love. But these
lessons you’ll learn has a valid point, for the next you run into ex at a store,
or see a stereotypical billionaire playboy. These books teach factual lessons
about communication, loyalty, and problem solving both personally or with a
partner.
Even though
romance novels are supposed to leave the readers not only happy but craving for
more there is a stigma of reality vs. fantasy. When romance novels are read it
leaves you measuring up the storyline of the fictional boyfriend vs. the
reality boyfriend. The time spent reading vicariously through
fictional characters can leave you unsatisfied with your actual partner, or sex
life because every woman that reads about a hot dominant, rich, loving but also
controlling boyfriend is going to compare that to the reality boyfriend or
wishing their sex life was as steamy and hot as the novels.
